How Sam the Moose came to be.
We see moose all the time on our way to our camp in northern Maine. One day in October my husband was driving down a logging road and stopped to view a cow and bull moose. He climbed to the roof of the truck and stayed to watch a while. Pretty soon another bull moose came to see what was going on, then another , and finally a very large bull moose came along ( Dave called him Mr. Big)This moose won the girl and my husbands heart. He was the inspiration for my painting. I named him
Sam after my sister, a liver transplant survivor, whose nickname is Moose.
